My techniques are jigging and slow (motor mooching)
trolling for Salmon, Halibut and Ling cod.
Jigging for these monsters is fairly new techology and
knowing when to troll or jig is important.
Jigging for Salmon gives you twice the fish especially
in the summer months with more fisherman participation.
Most of my customers prefer the hands on feel and action
of jiggin for salmon/bottomfish and the jolt while holding
the pole when the fish bites is priceless.
In my lifetime of being a fishing fanatic from 5 years old.
I have come up with some basic fundamentals that have
served me well.... FISH SAVVY!!
1. Premium fishing gear brings premium fish in both size
size and numbers.
2. True patience under fishing pressure to make good
sound decisions on where to go & when?
3. Reading the water and deciphering from the state of the
art electronics to stay or to go?
4. Being a good teacher comes into play when the fish is
on and about to empty your reel of the line. The next
challenge is getting the fish to the net and into the boat.
